Barber prices in Istanbul 2026: how much is a haircut, beard trim or groom package?

There's no single answer to "how much is a haircut in Istanbul?". Prices can vary several times over between a neighbourhood barber and a salon in Nisantasi — and visitors often aren't sure what's fair. Here's what drives the price, plus my own current price list, in plain numbers.

5 things that set a barber's price

  1. Neighbourhood and rent: Salons in central districts cost more to run, and that shows in the price.
  2. Time: A 15-minute clipper cut and a 45-minute scissor-and-clipper cut aren't the same job.
  3. Appointments: A barber who works by appointment reserves time for you; walk-in queues are cheaper but often rushed.
  4. Products and hygiene: Single-use capes, sterilisation and premium products add cost.
  5. Skill: On fades, textured cuts and beard design, the difference in experience is visible immediately.

My current price list (2026)

Prices are the same at my salon in Gayrettepe, Besiktas and when I come to you:

  • Haircut (45 min): ₺1,500 — wash and styling included
  • Haircut + beard (60 min): ₺2,000 — hot towel and beard oil included
  • Beard design (30 min): ₺900 — straight-razor line-up and hot towel
  • VIP grooming (90 min): ₺3,000 — haircut, beard, facial care, brows
  • Groom package (2 hours): from ₺6,000 — at home or at your hotel, trial included
  • Office / corporate: quote based on team size

Prices are in Turkish lira; I'm happy to confirm the total on WhatsApp before your appointment.

Is a home or hotel barber more expensive?

Not with me. There's no travel fee in and around Besiktas; a small fee may apply for distant districts, and I'll tell you upfront when you book. All the details are on the home barber Istanbul page.

Also consider the time: getting to and from a barbershop in Istanbul traffic can easily take an hour. If you're staying in a hotel, or several people need a cut, a visit is often the smarter choice.

Why a cheap cut can cost you more

The only way to fix a bad fade is usually to go shorter. A badly placed beard line can mean weeks of waiting for it to grow back. So when comparing prices, look at the time and the barber's work, not just the number. You can see my recent cuts in the gallery.

Should I tip?

Tipping a barber isn't mandatory in Turkey. If you're happy, it's entirely up to you. Honestly, the best tip is recommending me to a friend.
